Financing Options
For quite some time, going solar has been expensive with limited options to buy or finance your system. Historically solar was financed through leases and other creative financing solutions which were confusing and not as advantageous for the customer as they should have been. Things have radically changed over the past few years making buying solar not only easy but more affordable. At DelphiSun we have partnered with GoodLeap to offer some of the best financial solutions on the market. Explanations of the products we offer are below. Keep in mind there are many options out there with different ways to maximize your savings over the life of the solar system.
We have three options to buy which are:
- LOWEST CASH PRICE – You can use your cash/HELOC/Credit Card/Personal line of credit which will give you the greatest long term savings and overall return on investment. Roughly 30% of customers go this route.
- LOWEST FINANCED PRICE – You can use our Solar Financing which comes with a low purchase price but a slightly higher interest rate. We recommend this loan product for those who intend to pay the loan off within roughly 5-7 years. Many customers that go this route use bonus/commission income from their jobs to make big payments a few times a year which accelerates the payoff of the loan. This will get you closer to the savings of a CASH purchase and give you the 2nd best return on your investment. Roughly 15% of customers go this route.
- LOWEST FINANCED PAYMENT – This finance option is for those that plan on keeping the loan for greater than 10 years and are looking for the lowest monthly payment for a longer period of time. This option reduces your monthly utility payment and provides greater monthly savings immediately. The overall price of this option will be higher than the Cash and Lowest Financed Price options. Roughly 50% of customers go this route.Â
