INVERTER
One of the most important components of your solar system is the inverter. What does an inverter do and why is it important? When the sunlight hits the solar panels the solar panels produce DC electricity but our homes and the utility need AC electricity, this is where the inverter comes into play. The inverter converts the DC electricity from the solar panels to AC so our homes can use the energy produced. Whatever cannot be used is sent back to the grid which is where you receive your credit for NEM from the utility. Learn more about NEM here.Â

RACKING
The components used to secure the panels to your roof are called racking which includes the mounts that are secured to your roof and the rails that are secured to the mounts that hold the panels to your roof. As you can imagine this is a very important aspect of your solar system that frequently gets overlooked. Our racking system is German-engineered and is used in 130 countries. Our partners have a unique relationship with K2 Systems and has helped K2 Systems design and develop some of the most structurally sound racking systems in the world. Our racking systems are warrantied for 25 years and are considered some of the most secure module clamps in the industry.Â
